The reason you need to LEAD as YOU!

Since your growing ages, you have been given lessons and teachings of a great individual in almost all subjects and streams of our academic subjects.

In family relations too, you are directly or indirectly given substantial precedents of people who have done well in their life and have reached a certain level in their personal or professional growth, which was above the existing standards.

Coming into your professional life’s, you always find somebody in the organisation or the market industry in whose shoes you’d like to be in or whom you’d like to be like someday.

So naturally, if at any stage or in any field of your life, where you have been passionately involved, you tend to look up to these people and aspire to be as good, if not better.

Based on these aspirations, we tend to build our goals accordingly. As per our capabilities and resources, we set expectations not only of what we do, but even for ourselves!

What we usually miss out in this process, are the unseen elements which might have directly or indirectly contributed to those individual’s success:

• Amount of time taken by them to reach where they are
• The effort put in over that period
• Direct or indirect knowledge
• Network or connections

And many more

Even if we were able to account for all these factors of success, it is impractical to generate the same results as the conditions and demands of our current times are constantly changing.

This routine of pursuing our favourites as well as staying a contributing individual in the current times puts immense pressure and a fear of lacking in terms of knowledge and time on us. Thus, hurting one’s self-confidence and self-belief, turning them into another ‘Follower’!

There is no shame or anything bad about being a follower. It is a time tested fact you need role models/idols and mentors to you to be one of the greatest! But you have to remember that you are not them, and never will be. When you start losing yourself in order to follow or become like them, you have already lost the game before you even think you have started!

The combination of your mind set, purpose, values, desires and all other elements are unique to you. So have faith in yourself. Believe in your individuality and always do what YOU feel is the right thing to do.
